Hearrd ("we", "us", "our") provides a voice feedback tool that businesses embed into their products. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Hearrd operates as a data processor on behalf of our customers (the businesses that embed the widget). If you have submitted voice feedback through a product that uses Hearrd, the business that owns that product is the data controller and their privacy policy also applies.
From end users (people who use the widget):
Voice recordings submitted through the feedback widget
Transcriptions of those recordings, generated automatically
User ID and email address, if the product owner passes these to us
Duration of the recording and timestamp of submission
Basic browser information (browser type, operating system) for error monitoring
From customers (businesses that use Hearrd):
Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed)
Project configuration: widget settings, prompts, and API keys
Payment information — we do not store card details
Usage data: number of responses received, timestamps
To provide the Hearrd service: transcribing, analysing, and storing voice feedback on behalf of the product owner
To send email notifications to product owners when new feedback is received
To process subscription payments
To improve the reliability and performance of the service
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.
Cloudflare R2: Audio files are stored encrypted on Cloudflare R2 servers. Cloudflare is GDPR-compliant.
Voice audio files: 7 days on the Free plan, 90 days on Pro and Team plans
Transcripts and analysis data: same as above, deleted when audio is deleted
Account data: retained until you delete your account
You can delete any individual feedback response at any time from your Hearrd dashboard
The Hearrd widget always shows a consent notice before any recording begins. Users must explicitly grant microphone permission through their browser, this is a browser-level requirement that cannot be bypassed. Recordings only occur when the user actively presses the record button.
If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you have the following rights:
The right to access the data we hold about you
The right to request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
The right to request correction of inaccurate data
The right to data portability
The right to object to processing
If your feedback was submitted through another company"s product, please contact that company directly as they are the data controller.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Audio files are stored encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only. We conduct regular reviews of our security practices.
Hearrd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted feedback through a product using Hearrd, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify customers by email of any material changes. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
